Quality means not something rammed with keywords which isn’t actually very useful or easy to read. Good quality content is something useful, or interesting to the readers. You want it to be well written, broken up with subheadings and images to make it easier to read. People have different search behaviours and of course languages based on their location so you need to adapt to these factors in order to rank on search engines. Simply put, engagement is the ability to hold a user’s attention. In SEO terms, it is a measure of the amount of time spent on a page. Although Google hasn’t officially declared it, there is evidence to suggest that this search engine giant does reward sites with strong user engagement with higher page ranking.

Cross-link relevant content

In a modern SEO world where the word ‘content’ is banded about on a daily basis by SEOs, there has been a move to create as much content as possible in a bid to win the ‘content war’. When you write guest posts for other websites, don’t do it just for the purpose of getting a link in the author bio. ou should always do your research before embarking on any kind of campaign. Check out what your competitors are ranking for and what key search terms they use. Keyword research sounds simple but it actually drives the entirety of your campaign. The outlook for SEO careers during times of recession is pretty positive

Community hijacking involves finding online communities that are made up of your target market, or people that can reach your target market so that you can build a relationship with them and get them to promote your content/brand/product(s). Producing content that ranks well is clearly an important part of writing for SEO. But it’s also about turning those visitors into paying customers. A headline is usually the first thing we notice when accessing a search engine, and this reminds us that a headline should be: valuable, relevant, simple and appealing. Links within long-form, evergreen content are also more valuable than links in short, news-based posts.

Avoid any grey / black hat link building tactics

Find relevant, high authority sites that partly or completely cover your niche. In Google search, the first 10 results probably belong to high authority sites. Build backlinks by using forums and blog comments. You can become an authority in your niche, by using forums, and engaging with others with blog comments. Keywords are no longer necessary for high rankings

Only link to pages on other websites that you think your visitors would find helpful, valuable and/or interesting. Most people simply ignore this part as not important – please don’t do the same. Remember the following two sayings: “Show me your friends and I’ll tell you who you are” and “You are the average of the five people you spend the most time with.” Many people don’t pursue backlinks from Wikipedia because they’re all “nofollow” links, which means search engines like Google don’t count them as positive trust signals for your website. Analysis of meta sets/keywords, visible text and code to deter­mine how well you're positioned for search engines. Don't fill your page with lists of keywords, attempt to "cloak" pages, or put up "crawler only" pages. If your site contains pages, links, or text that you don't intend visitors to see, Google considers those links and pages deceptive and may ignore your site.
