Google’s Penguin 4.0 is now included in the core algorithm and is updated in real-time as of September 2016. Before this rollout, website owners waited years to recover rankings lost because of questionable SEO practices related to manipulating links. You might have excellent content and a better ranking, however, if your website has technical problems, you will end up losing your customers. This is because is your website keeps asking the reader to wait for the page to load or keeps presenting them with mobile errors, your customers will get frustrated, and your page is not expected to have a good ranking for long. With for instance the rise of voice search, longer keyphrases become more and more common. Using a long keyphrase five times in your 300-word-article will look so unnatural, that it’s not a good practice at all, where using a certain keyword five times might fit there.
